Overview
Thinking about your next trip? Come with us to a place with sunny beaches, old temples, friendly elephants, and super tasty food. Welcome to Sri Lanka! We are not saying this as a travel agency, however, we are saying it from experience, and we have helped hundreds of visitors who have fallen in love with this little island with so much beauty. The Sri Lanka Travel Tourism team knows this island intimately, and we're excited to share it with you.
The Sri Lanka tour is an outstanding experience where friendly people, spicy smells, and colorful views welcome you as soon as you arrive. You will land in busy Colombo with cool cafés and fun markets, then head to Kandy, where culture comes to life all around you. There's a sacred temple, a representation of the Buddha's tooth, and every evening, traditional dancers take the stage to recite old tales, looking at you, Kandy dancers! Next, you visit Galle with its cobblestone streets, old colonial buildings, and the sea crashing on the big Dutch Fort—just like a perfect postcard. And don't forget Sigiriya, a huge rock fortress with a royal palace on top where you can climb and feel like a king or queen while enjoying beautiful views all around.
For the rest, visit cool Nuwara Eliya with green tea farms, then see wild elephants, leopards, and birds at Yala or Wilpattu, and don't forget the beautiful coast. Oh, the coast! Bentota's beaches are quiet and peaceful, it is a great place to find some well-deserved time to just relax. In Mirissa, you will find things a little more interesting, though, with surfing, snorkeling, and even whale watching if you are lucky. Sri Lanka Travel Tourism can help you plan the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. And it is not just about places — it is about what you do. There are our travelers who come for the cultural aspects- temples, ancient cities, and colorful festivals, then there are those who want adventure - riding waves, climbing hills, and going deep into the jungle on safari. Then some just want to rest and chill, perhaps for an Ayurvedic massage or a relaxing yoga retreat with a view. Not sure when to go? Sri Lanka Travel Tourism recommends December to April for the west and south coasts, and May to September for the east. The great thing about being off-season is fewer people and better prices. It's also easy to get here. Just get a quick ETA, then travel easily by train, tuk-tuk, car, or short flights anywhere in Sri Lanka. When it comes to where you'll stay, you can choose. Want 5-star luxury with a pool and a view? Done. Prefer a homestay, where grandma makes your breakfast? We have that too! Eco-lodges, beach huts, boutique hotels - you name it.
Now, food! Get ready for spice, flavor, and some serious comfort. Try tasty rice and curry, hoppers, and kottu—or join a cooking class to learn how to make them yourself. Sri Lanka Travel Tourism can arrange special food experiences that go beyond the usual tourist spots. We will keep you safe and comfortable, teach local customs like temple dress, and give tips on health, money, and drinking safe water. We've put together some sample itineraries to get you started. Whether it's a one-week itinerary that includes the hotspots, to going all out with full adventure, culture, and beach time of two weeks, to travelling with kids, honeymooning, or other budget options, Sri Lanka Travel Tourism has itineraries for that too, and we may offer you some great seasonal deals along the way!Yes, we have lots of nice reviews from past travellers including how we made their travels seamless, memorable and full of "wow" moments, we love hearing these stories (and we also share some of them on our blog, along with other travel tips and hidden gems and the perfect spots for Instagram photos).
